I absolutely love my new handbag
I absolutely love my new handbag! I chose the dark forest green bag with the owl and the saying, “I not only read books, I write them,” personalized with my name. The color is beautiful, the leather feels wonderful, and the small size turned out to be exactly what I needed. It fits everything I normally carry without being too large, and I especially love having the crossbody strap.
What really made this purchase special, though, was the customer service and their willingness to work with me on accessibility. I’m blind and use a screen reader, and when I first visited the website, some of the product images didn’t have enough descriptive alt text for me to know things like the color of a bag or exactly what was pictured on it. I reached out with some questions and accessibility suggestions, and Rosalie from Customer Care was wonderful. She listened to my feedback, communicated with me several times, answered my questions about the colors and sizes, and helped me figure out which size would work best for what I carry. I never felt like I was bothering anyone or asking too many questions. She genuinely wanted to help, and the company was open to learning how they could make the shopping experience better.
That matters enormously to me. Accessibility means I can shop independently and know what I’m spending my money on, and businesses that are willing to listen and collaborate earn my loyalty. The Note Bags did exactly that.
I did have one small issue when the bag arrived: the hardware attaching the crossbody strap isn’t staying securely connected to the purse and keeps popping loose. I’ve already contacted them about getting a replacement strap, and based on how helpful they’ve been throughout this entire experience, I feel very comfortable giving them the opportunity to make it right.
I love my bag, I love that it reflects both my love of books and writing, and I especially appreciate the people behind the company. Thank you to Rosalie and The Note Bags for listening to a blind customer, taking accessibility seriously, and making me feel genuinely welcome shopping with you. I will happily shop here again. -

The medium bag is great for larger books like I’m reading now, but I have been able to get most other sizes of books into the smaller bag and still have room for wallet and phone.
My daughter uses the medium bag as her “briefcase” and gets loads of compliments.
I’m impatiently waiting for the small bookshelf bag and the round quote bag. 🤗🥰 -

The medium is perfect. I did not want the top zipper so I did not order the accessories. I was pleasantly surprised to see the double strap that tucks inside the purse in the event I need to go hands free. Love that it falls just below the chest. Because of it's size could I suggest that little feet be put on the base (similar to what is on the handle). I love my new bag! I was a bit unsure about ordering from a website that I hadn't ordered from before, but the bag is beautiful! I didn't really look properly at the measurements and got the large one, it is so big. I am going to use it for my work bag, and buy another one for my every day handbag, I think a medium this time. The material inside is soft and beautiful, and the quality is high. I wish the zip did up all the way along, instead of leaving space at either end, but that is a personal choice rather than a negative about the bag. I am looking at the wallets too, they look great.
